A plain-language account of what information this site collects, why, and what happens to it.
This site collects only what you submit through the contact form or the free Email Security Check tool — your name, email, and either a message or a domain to check. There is no analytics, no advertising tracking, and no email list at this time. A content delivery network (QUIC.cloud) sits in front of the site for performance and security, and Formspree processes contact form submissions. Nothing collected here is sold, rented, or used for marketing.
Contact form: When you submit the contact form, I receive your name, email address, organization (if provided), the service you're interested in, and whatever you write in your message. This is sent through Formspree and forwarded to me by email.
Email Security Check tool: When you use the free Email Security Check tool at /email-security-check, I collect your name, email address, and the domain you submit for analysis. This information is stored on this site's server and used solely to generate and deliver your report. It is not used for marketing, not shared with third parties, and not combined with any other data about you. Submissions are retained for up to 30 days and then deleted automatically.
Beyond the contact form and Email Security Check tool, this site does not currently run analytics, advertising pixels, or an email newsletter, and does not knowingly collect any other personal information.
Two third-party services support this site. Neither is used for tracking or advertising:
Content delivery network and security layer. Handles caching and traffic protection for the site. As with most CDNs, it may process technical data such as IP address and request metadata to serve pages and mitigate abuse — this is infrastructure-level processing, not tracking of you as an individual.
Processes and delivers contact form submissions by email. Formspree may briefly retain submitted messages in its own system as part of that delivery; it is not used here for marketing or list-building.
The Email Security Check tool does not use any third-party service to store or process your submission. Data is held on this site's own server and processed by an internal automation that performs DNS lookups against public DNS infrastructure (Cloudflare's DNS-over-HTTPS API) to generate your report.
This site does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies, so there's no cookie consent banner — there's nothing non-essential to consent to yet. The CDN may set limited functional or security cookies necessary for the site to load and stay protected; these aren't used to track you across sites or build a profile.
If that changes — for example, if I add self-hosted analytics through Matomo in the future — this policy will be updated first, and if that addition requires consent under applicable law, a consent mechanism will be added at that time rather than retroactively.
Your information is not used for advertising, resold, or shared with any party beyond the two service providers named above. Email Security Check submissions are not shared with any third party.
Contact form submissions are retained only as long as they are relevant to a potential or active engagement. Once a conversation concludes with no engagement, the message is deleted.
Email Security Check submissions are retained for up to 30 days from the date of submission and then deleted automatically. No archive is kept beyond that window.
Information is not sold or rented to anyone. It's shared only with the service providers listed above, to the extent needed for them to do their job (routing a form submission, serving the page), or if required by law.
Since the only information collected is what you submit through the contact form or the Email Security Check tool, honoring these requests is straightforward — email me and I'll take care of it directly.
The site is served over HTTPS, and traffic is protected by QUIC.cloud's security layer. Email Security Check submissions are stored server-side and are not accessible to the public. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but reasonable measures are in place.
If this policy changes — for example, when analytics is added — the effective date above will be updated and the change will reflect what's actually running on the site at that time, not generic boilerplate.
If you have questions about this policy or want to exercise any of the rights above, reach out directly.
